FIRM HISTORY: William Mills came to Huntington, Indiana in 1966, when he began practicing law with the famous Clare Bangs. Mr. Mills was elected Huntington County Prosecutor in 1974, the same year Joseph Northrop graduated from law school. Mr. Northrop became Chief Deputy Prosecutor of Huntington County in 1975. Bill and Joe also started a private practice which was known as Mills & Northrop. Bill and Joe practiced law together for about 30 years. Bill Mills became Of Counsel to this office in 2005, at which time the firm was re-named The Northrop Law Office. From 1997 until 2005, Mills & Northrop had a third partner who left when he was appointed by Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels as Superior Court Judge in an adjoining county.
JOSEPH NORTHROP is as experienced in the courtroom as he is in the boardroom. He has tried numerous jury trials and has represented international multi-million dollar corporations as outside counsel.
